![]() with quite a few video editors being on sale currently for a rather cheap amount (I'm talking less than 50,- here for some), would it be a good idea to upgrade my MS13P to a better video editing program? And if so. As people might know ( I might be wrong here though), MS13 can't make use of GPU acceleration with the newer graphics cards, which means that I might be missing out on some saved time with my new graphics card (Rendering is the boring part of the video creation process). I accepted it would take at least twice as long as the video would be. I had hoped that I could decrease that rendering time to be closer to 1:1 instead of 1:2, but. my new setup was able to 'sort of' maintain that timeframe for a 1080p video (45 minutes rendering for a 20 minute video). Where normally with my old pc, a 20 minute long 720p video would take me around 40 minutes of rendering time in MS13P. ![]() (It did what I required it to do for a cheap price) Recently I've tried to make the switch from 720p30fps to 1080p60fps videos, because I managed to upgrade my Graphics card and CPU to a MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X 8G, and an Intel Core i7-8700. ![]() I don't do a lot of editing in my videos, only some trimming and some freeze frames and adding an outro. ![]() Stick to my Movie Studio Platinum 13 on steam, or upgrade to something stronger/better (Yet not expensive)Ī little bit of info first (To give you a better idea what my situation is).Ĭurrently I use Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 13 on steam, and I've been using it for 3 years now, being very happy and content with it. I need some advice (and where better to ask here?) in regards to what I should do. With the steam summer sale around, my eyes fell on Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 15, with it being on sale for 50%, together with several other video editors being on sale.
